Dr. Elmer P. Dadios’ interests include artificial intelligence, neural networks, robotics, software engineering, automation, and intelligent systems. Dr. Dadios has completed 19 projects, including the DOST TECHNICOM project “Soccer Robot System” and published 79 scientific papers locally and internationally. He is editor of the Journal of Advanced Computational Intelligence and Intelligent Informatics of Japan and Associate Editor of the International Journal for Manufacturing S&T of USA and Federation of International Robot-Soccer Association (FIRA) Newsletter. To date, he has prepared 40 paper presentations and refereed for international journals. Dr. Dadios received various local and international awards including first prize in the nationwide contest for the Most Innovative New and Renewable Energy System by the Philippine National Oil Company (July 2000); Best Paper Presentation by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc Industrial Electronics Society in Colorado, USA (December 2001); and the Gold and Silver Awards in FIRA Robot World Cup in Australia (2000).

Dr. Laurence B. Dacuycuy is recognized of his outstanding research studies in the field of labor economics specifically in the econometric measurement of wage outcomes and inequality using more advanced econometric methodologies like semiparametric and nonparametric econometrics, which showed that the cause of wage inequality is the greater variability in returns to schooling and experience among workers. His research contribution in the empirics of wage functional modeling has thereby assisted in advancing the state of econometrics education and research in the country.
