In recognition of her pioneering and outstanding scientific achievements in virology and Immunology, including new knowledge that has been applied in medical practice,and for international standing as scientists,sharing here expertise with the World Health Organization and the health institutions of other countries. as one of the earliest pioneers in Philippine virology and immunology,she liberally opens her storehouse of knowledge to all. Dr. Cervera is recognized for his research laboratory on advanced materials for energy, equipped with basic and analytical equipment to enhance research capabilities in energy-related applications such as Lithium-based batteries, solid oxide fuel cells and electrolysis cells applications. Dr. Cervera has been awarded with several research grants which train scientists and engineers on electrochemical energy storage through workshops and seminars and provided jobs and opportunities to several research and postdoctoral fellow. He was awarded as a 2018 Outstanding Young Scientist in the field of Materials Enginneering by the DOST- National Academy of Science and Technology Philippines.
